Would you like to eat something special for breakfast, snack or dessert? Then try French toast! It's easy to prepare and delicious.

Ingredients

  • Bread, preferably white bread
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 dl milk
  • 50 grams of granulated sugar
  • butter (Solo)

Preparation 1

  1. Mix two eggs, two dl milk and 50 grams of sugar in a deep plate.
  2. Melt a pat of butter in a pan.
  3. Put a slice of bread in the mix. White bread is preferable.
  4. Turn the slice of bread over in the mix till it's spongy and put it in the pan.
  5. Fry both sides brown and let the next slices of bread soak in the mix. By soaking I mean; you have turned over the slice of bread in the mix and now it's waiting on the edge of the plate. It will taste better.

Preparation 2

  1. Put the milk and eggs in a deep plate. Now you don't have to weigh it. Have you got little? Then add the necessary stuff.
  2. Mix the eggs. With two eggs you can make about six French toasts. This is how I usually do it.
  3. Melt a pat of butter in a pan.
  4. Put a slice of bread in the mix.
  5. Turn the slice of bread over in the milk, then in the poached egg and put it then in the pan.
  6. Fry both sides brown and let the next slices of bread soak in the mix. What I mean by soaking you can read in Preparation 1.

Tips

  • Don't be economical with the butter while baking. If you are, the French toast will stick to the pan.
  • Use a wide spatula to turn the French toasts.
  • French toasts taste better when they are warm. Make sure you have plates, so you can serve directly to your guests.
  • You can soak the slices of bread. But beware; if they are soaking too long, they can fall apart.

Tips for more taste

Put some sugar on the French toasts. I like them the most with light brown sugar. Of course you can also add a scoop of ice cream, some honey or some confiture.

                                                                                                       Bon appetit!
