Meatloaf with ham and cheese

A delicious dish with minced meat, ham and cheese. It fills your stomach and can be combined with practically anything, like lettuce, potatoes and a lot more!

These ingredients are based on a dish for 4 persons.

Ingredients

  • 17.6 oz. minced meat

  • 2.5 Dutch rusks

  • 1 egg

  • 2 teaspoons salt

  • 2 teaspoons black pepper

  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg

  • 2 cloves of garlic

  • 3 tablespoons ketchup

  • 2.7 oz. bacon

  • 4.0 oz. ham

  • 2.1 oz. ripened cheese

Preparation

Completely pulverize the Dutch rusks and put them in a large bowl. Next, add all spices and mix it all up. Now take the meat and put it in the bowl too. Mix it all up again. Peel the cloves of garlic, squeeze them and put them together with the egg and the ketchup. Add this to the minced meat mixture. Mix everything in the bowl. After that, let the mixture rest for awhile. Now preheat the oven at 200 degrees Celsius.

Method of preparation

While preheating the oven, cut the ham and cheese in very small pieces. Just leave it seperated. Get the ham and mix it with the minced meat mixture. Next, put in the cheese and mix it again. The meatloaf is now ready to be put in the oven.

Grease a baking dish with a small amount of butter. Get the meatloaf and make it a semicircular bread. Put it in the baking dish. Now wrap the bacon around the minced meat mixture. Be sure there is a little bit of bacon underneath the meatloaf. Put the baking dish in the oven and bake the bread in about 25 minutes. Keep in mind that the baking time can vary depending on the thickness of the meatloaf. Check if the meatloaf is done now and then.

Now your dish is ready to be served. Put the meatloaf on the table and slice it. The meatloaf is delicious when served with small potatoes and lettuce, but naturally you are free to eat it without!
